This match is revolver neutral (not >6 shots in any
string), min cal 9mm/38 Special, iron sights or optics, 100 rds., MINIMUM
3 magazines!, any safe holster. Four stages: Barricade, Falling Plate,
Moving Target, and Speed Plates. There are 3 requirements for this match
to happen: good enough weather, Enough set up help- we start set up on
Late Sat aft, and finish on Sunday AM, most importantly, enough shooters to
participate!!!! We will not go to this much work for only 6 or 8 participants. Any
questions, ask Neil. Any member needing work hours can get several
hours if they wish setting up for this match. And you can shoot the match, too. We will need someone to run the grill for lunch.
Plus, nowhere else locally do I know of anyone with a moving target in a pistol match!
This match is what would normally be the 4th Sunday match.

Description: The self-study course requires students to first complete one of two approved online firearms hunter education courses, before attending a full day (8 hours) of instruction covering classroom material and field exercises. Students must bring a printed copy of their certificate of completion from an approved online firearms hunter education course to participate in the self-study course. Students under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian present at the beginning of the course to sign their student registration card. Students should either bring lunch, or plan on buying lunch at the club (cash, no debit or credit cards ). There is a soda machine in the classroom area with soda and water. There will be a short work party on the outdoor range to build and repair target holders and general cleanup. Couple hours at most. We'll need screw guns , bits, drill bits, a saw, rakes and loppers, etc.
This is our last scheduled 3D shoot of the year. Registration is open from 7:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. Adults: $20.00 Ages 12–17: $10.00 Children under 12: Free Help is needed at the registration table. This is another great opportunity to complete work hours. Target pickup will begin immediately after the shoot at 12:00 noon. We will be collecting the 3D targets, rods and stakes, and removing all ribbon and signage from the course. Someone with a cordless drill and bits will also be needed. With plenty of help, cleanup should take approximately two hours or less. This is another perfect opportunity to complete work hours. The archery targets will remain set up from Saturday, August 22 through 12:00 noon on Sunday, August 30. Club members may use the 3D course at their convenience at no charge. Non-members may accompany a club member for a $20.00 fee. Members are responsible for collecting and turning in all guest fees. No broadheads are allowed on the course. Field points only. The 4th Sunday shoot ( 8/23 ) will be a centerfire match using pins and plates. Minimum cal 9mm/38 Sp., three mags or two speedloaders, holster or gun case and about 100-125 rounds.
The shoot starts at 9:30 with a mandatory safety meeting beforehand around 9:15. Setup prior and takedown after is appreciated
Help is needed to setup targets for the 3D archery shoot. It will take about 3 hours with help
Class is the one-day instruction/field portion of the self-study classes. Students must complete an on line course before attending the class day at the club. Even though the club is allowed reserved seats for all of these classes, we STRONGLY suggest you take as early a class as your schedule will allow.

We will reincarnate our Wednesday evening .22 pistol match on June 24th. Start time 6pm. We will start setting up at about 3pm. Any member needing work hours can get 2-3 hours, and you can shoot the match.
We will need someone to run the grill ( and you can shoot the match for free! ). The match will have 6-8 stages, and is formatted around a standard 10 round .22 target type pistol.
You'll also need a holster ( you won't be drawing from it ), and a minimum of 3 mags, 100 rounds, either iron sights or dots, $10 entry.
